Camilla + Andrew
Hotel St Cecilia, Austin, Texas
Overview
Camilla & Andrew had a lovely full-weekend experience at Hotel St Cecilia for their intimate wedding. From the guest arrival on Friday to their departure on Sunday, they spent time together with their guests and fully embraced the intimate community experience.
Originally their wedding was to take place in Santa Barbara but the pandemic shifted their plans to Austin, Texas with an intention to spend quality time with a smaller group of guests.
What we did
They selected the full service planning package, so we started with a full design process to make sure that we understood the vision in order to bring it to the forefront of the planning. We assisted with logistics on all three days for a start to finish experience from design, to rentals, to transportation and so much more.
What was unique about the design?
Camilla’s mother is Japanese and we loved the idea of including Ikebana florals into the design as a representation of her heritage and culture. The intimate plated dinner provided the perfect place for us to bring this minimalist design into play.
We brought in beautiful rentals including tables, chairs and some dishware from Loot Vintage and leveraged the hotel’s gorgeous in-house custom black and white plates to add a dash of local charm with a cute pattern to bring it all together.
What was the vibe for the wedding?
We had every interaction carefully crafted, from the yard games available upon arrival to the transportation (a fleet of SUVs from Cynthia’s Limo) to prevent waiting and ease of transport to Eberly which hosted the welcome dinner.
On the wedding day, we welcomed guests to the wedding with passed champagne and a string quartet from Sienna Strings. After the ceremony, the cocktail was hosted on the upstairs portion of the patio and the grounds of the hotel. For dinner, the lovely Kristen Gibbs provided music on the harp along with her voice.
The guests enjoyed intimate moments from toasts and a fabulous dinner from Hotel St. Cecilia.
After the dinner, everyone took a break to change for a night on the town with a bar crawl starting at South Congress Hotel and continuing down South Congress for a uniquely Austin close to the night.
We couldn’t have asked for a more intimate experience for their guests!
